LEEDS midfielder Kalvin Phillips has arrived in Manchester for his medical ahead of his £45million switch to Manchester City.
SunSport revealed last week how the Citizens had agreed a deal with the Yorkshire outfit to snap up the England international.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola identified the 26-year-old as Fernandinho’s replacement after the Brazilian departed as a free agent.
And the transfer is edging closer after Phillips returned from holiday to complete his move.
The 2020 England Men’s Player of the Year has been snapped arriving for his medical.
City are now expected to officially announce the deal over the weekend providing all goes to plan.

It promises to be a busy weekend for the Premier League champions after confirming the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega on Friday morning.
The 29-year-old has linked up with City on a free transfer after he decided to run his contract down at German outfit Arminia Bielefeld.
And there could be plenty of departures with Arsenal poised to announce the arrival of Gabriel Jesus for £45m.
Meanwhile Chelsea remain keen to bring centre-back Nathan Ake back to Stamford Bridge.

City also hope they can get up to £1m from full-back CJ Egan Riley’s move to Burnley.
The 19-year-old is out of contract at the Etihad but City are still entitled to a significant developmental fee for him.
That could reach seven figures if he proves to be a success in East Lancashire – while City have also negotiated a 30 per cent sell on fee on the highly-rated defender.
Meanwhile fellow youngster Taylor Harwood-Bellis had a medical at Burnley on Friday and is also set to link up with Vincent Kompany’s men.
